The Department organized an “Orientation Programme for UG Teachers” on August
13, 2018. Another one is planned for December 17, 2019.

Dr M. Prabhakar, Dr B. Deepa Jyothi (from Kakatiya University), Prof B. Gopal Rao,
Prof B. Yadava Raj, Dr T. Venkat Rajaiah, (from Osmania University), have visited the
Department on academic assignments and gave extension lectures. Prof B. Gopal Rao
and Prof B. Yadava Raju from Osmania University delivered extension lectures on
“Popular Culture and Modernism” on November 31, 2018, and December 1, 2018. Dr
T. Ramana Chary of Telangana University delivered lectures on “Post-colonialism”. Dr
T. Venkat Rajaiah conducted a daylong session on Sri Aurobindo and his Poetry. Dr C.
Sharada from Osmania University delivered extension lectures on South Asian
Literature on November 27, 2019. Dr B. Krishnaiah from University of Hyderabad gave
a talk on “Dalit Aesthetics” on November 30, 2019. These visiting professors are
invited from different parts of the country to lecture and interact with the students,
scholars and teachers of the Department.

Narendra, Dr T. Sharada, Dr K. Harinath (from Sri Venkateswara University), Prof Ch.
Hari Padma (from Sri Padmavathi Mahila University) are going to visit the Department
on academic assignments. These visiting professors are invited from different parts of
the country to lecture and interact with the students, scholars and teachers of the
Department.
